1. Activate the Canister
Our ‘Skeet-R-Shield Mosquito Repellent Canister is easy to use. To activate the canister, simply remove the lid. It’s best to activate the canister about an hour before you plan on spending time outside. If you are reusing the canister, shake it before removing the lid.
2. Place the Canister
Place the canister on a table or similar surface near where people are congregating. If there is a breeze, you’ll want to place the canister upwind from where you are gathering. While the granules are effective in the canister, you can also spread them over the ground to protect your seating area. Granules can cover about 250 sq ft.
3. Shake the Canister
For best results, you’ll want to put the lid on the canister and shake it every three hours. After shaking the canister, remove the lid to continue using it.
4. Store the Canister
When you head indoors, you’ll want to take the canister with you. To extend the effective life, replace the lid when not in use. Make sure the lid is placed tightly on the canister. Store the canister in a cool, dry area.
