Flying Insect Treatment: To kill flies, gnats, mosquitoes, moths and other flying insects, direct spray at flying insects and contact as many as possible. Spray in short 2 – 3 second bursts. For best results, spray flies when they are resting to get the best spray coverage possible. When using indoors, wipe up excess. Repeat as necessary. When using outdoors, spray breeding areas such as in and around garbage cans and compost piles, and areas where pests may be entering your home. Repeat as necessary.
Q: How long will it take for the fragrance from Maggie’s Farm indoor spray products to dissipate inside my home?
A. The fragrance comes from the natural plant oils used in the ingredients, which are inherently fragrant. The fragrance is not harmful and generally dissipates shortly after product use. However, the "longevity" of the fragrance is a function of several factors, including: how much product was used, where the product was used, if the product was applied to any absorbent surfaces (e.g., carpet, upholstery, etc.), the relative humidity in the area sprayed, the amount of air circulation in the area sprayed, etc.If you find that the fragrance is too strong and/or lingers too long, there are several things you can do to minimize it (Click Here)
Q. What are polyglycerol oleate and isopropyl myristate that are listed in the inert ingredient section of the product label?
A. These ingredients are used as emulsifiers to help the oil and water in the formula to mix together well when the can is shaken to get an even, uniform mixture that is needed for product performance. Without these ingredients, the oil and water would remain separated (oil floats, water sinks), which compromises the effectiveness of the product.
These ingredients are on the US EPA Minimum Risk Pesticide Program approved list of ingredients. The Maggie’s Farm Flying Insect Killer is classified by the U.S. EPA as a minimum-risk pesticide.
Q: Is this ok to spray on my plants?
A: Flying Insect Killer is not meant for use on plants. We do however carry a product called 3-in-1 Garden Spray that you can use. We suggest to always test in a small area before broad use and to read entire label of any product you chose to use.
Q: Is this spray also good for mosquitoes?
A: Yes, our Flying Insect Killer is a great mosquito killer as well as a versatile flying insect spray and bug killer spray. It can be used to kill almost any type of flying insect you may be dealing with. If you have been searching for a more natural fly killer than you have found a great product that works.
Q. Does Maggie’s Farm Flying Insect Killer kill bees? Should I be worried I can harm beneficial insects?
A. Our botanical products will kill just about any insect if you spray enough of it on them directly. If you use Maggie’s Farm Flying Insect Killer (or any other of our botanical spray products) as directed, it will repel bees and other beneficial insects, rather than kill them with direct contact. In other words, don’t spray them directly, and they should be fine.
Q. Does Maggie’s Farm Flying Insect Killer leave behind an oily residue that needs to be wiped up after spraying?
A. No, our indoor spray products are water-based, not oil-based, so they do not leave behind a messy oily residue that must be wiped up after spraying. Our water based sprays will not cause hard floor surfaces like hardwood and tile floors to become slippery like an oil-based spray. Oil based sprays can also cause staining issues on soft surfaces like fabrics, upholstery, rugs, carpet, and leather.
Haven't used it yet, it is a gift for a friend !
Maggie's Farm Flying Insect Killer
I have used Maggie's Flying Insect Spray for years to keep the black flies off of my alpacas. It works fantastic! I feel much better about the ingredients in this than other livestock fly sprays. Not only that, my boys smell delightful!
Fruit Flies Hate This
I’ve tried several flying insect sprays to combat occasional fruit fly problems, only to find limited success & offensive odor. As soon as I started using Maggie’s, fruit flies diminished in number and quickly disappeared! As a bonus, this product has a very pleasant aroma & uses natural ingredients. Thank you!
So glad I found this natural and effective flying bug killer! I live in FL and the mosquitoes are terrible.
