DIRECTIONS FOR USE
It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Attracts and Kills All Common Household Ants Including: Argentine ants, ghost ants, cornfield ants, pavement ants, pharaoh ants, acrobat ants, white footed ants, little black ants, odorous house ants, rover ants, crazy ants, big headed ants, and other sweet feeding ants except carpenter, fire and harvester ants. For Use in and Around: Homes, apartments, storage areas, and mobile homes.
Controlling and Eliminating Ants: First ants will come in large numbers, but soon disappear. This product is formulated to allow worker ants to consume the product and survive long enough to carry the liquid back to the nest and deliver a dose to the rest of the colony. Monitor the placements and ensure there is always a fresh supply of Maggie’s Farm Ant Killer at each placement.
Indoor Use: Apply Maggie’s Farm Ant Killer to small pieces of cardboard, paper or foil, or in purpose built bait stations and place product in areas inaccessible to children and pets, where ants are seen, such as the edges of sinks, window sills, under food cabinets, along floors and baseboards and in corners. Use plenty of bait placements, the more bait placements the better. Since invading ants usually have outdoor nesting sites, it often helps to put the product outside, close to where ants are found entering the structure. Ants typically follow defined trails from the nest to food or water. Placing Maggie’s Farm Ant Killer close to these trails will improve control.
Outdoor Use: Locate areas around the building where ants are seen trailing. Apply Maggie’s Farm Ant Killer in areas inaccessible to children and pets. For a perimeter defense system, place bait stations against the foundation where the trails are found. Spacing the bait stations every 5 to 10 feet will provide the best results. Check the bait stations regularly for activity. Remember ants will feed on Maggie’s Farm Ant Killer and carry the bait back to the rest of the colony. Heavy infestations may require several bait placement refills.
Environmental Hazards: Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high-water mark. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters or rinsate.
Q. I used Maggie’s Farm Ant Killer bait and am now seeing more ants around the bait. Is this normal?
A. The Maggie’s Farm Ant Killer bait contains a variety of food attractants designed to attract foraging ants to it. Worker ants feed on the bait and take it back to the nest to share with the rest of the colony, which eventually will kill the colony. So not only is it normal to see more ants after you apply the Ant Killer bait, it is also a sign that the bait is working. Over a short period of time you should see fewer ants, and eventually no ants, once the bait has been spread to all the ants in the nest.
It is important that you DO NOT USE any insecticide sprays around the bait placements as you don’t want to do anything that prevents the ants from taking the bait. The goal is to eliminate the source of the ant problem, the nest. So you want the foraging ants to take the bait back to the nest to eliminate the colony.
Nothing has ever worked like this before
This stuff is amazing! I've never used any other product that works like this does. Put it out; let them at it; they don't come back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
This stuff is amazing. I've tried all kinds of other ant killers/baits and none worked. This one really works! It got rid of the little sugar ants on my brick patio very quickly. But even better it killed off a major invasion of the large red and black pavement ants I had been dealing with for a couple weeks. There were thousands of them creating a back and forth trail from a new woodpile 100 feet away and into the crawl space of the sunporch in my house. I almost called a pest control company. But I got some Maggie's and kept applying a few drops on the cement they crossed. They devoured this stuff like candy. It took 3-4 days and the ants kept coming, then less and less, and then boom -- they were gone. Completely. And haven't returned-- its been 2 weeks since I've seen any ants. Awesome product!
This stuff really works!
Maggies actually works
I have been going crazy for years trying to get rid of tiny ants that invade every home I've ever been in from multiple places. The ants literally walk over all the other bait traps and never enter. I saw Maggies at a supermarket and bought it. It was totally incredible. The ants flock to it like it's the best thing to ever happened to them. I lay out a line about one inch long. It turns black with ants. Leave them alone. They bring it back to their nest and share it. Some die in place from likely eating it on numerous trips. Others walk around like zombies as their brains get rewired. Soon there are no ants and you can clean the area. If you ever see an ant again (like the babies that hatch after 30 days) just lay out another line to get rid of them before they reproduce. The end. My pesticide guy for the outside says it's the same stuff they use but with a lower dose. I never let them spray inside, and since Maggies is a gel, it doesn't go anywhere else in the house. But I do not have any pets or little kids that might lick it up so be careful where you put it!
