DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Always read label directions and precautions prior to use. Shake well before use and periodically during use. This product can be used indoors and outdoors. For optimal spraying, rotate the spray nozzle to point in the same direction as the red dot located on the top rim of the can. Point spray nozzle away from face and press button firmly to spray, holding the can upright. Do not use this product in the same area where you have used a Maggie’s Farm insect bait. Baits work by the insect eating them. This product is a contact killer and repellent so you want to be sure not to repel insects from an area where you put down bait.
Crawling Insect Treatment: To kill ants, cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, firebrats, fleas, pill bugs, silverfish, spiders, ticks and other crawling pests, spray product to contact as many insects as possible. To help stop ants and other pests from coming inside, spray all entry points you find, and possible entry areas such as cracks and gaps around window and door frames, around the foundation, and around pipes and wires that come into the building. Repeat as necessary.
Bed Bug Treatment: To kill bed bugs, spray as a spot treatment to sleeping areas in cracks around baseboards, floorboards, doors and window frames. Apply as a surface spray to carpets, floor coverings and rugs around sleeping areas. Spray until wet but not soaking. To treat beds, remove bedding and wash and dry in high heat. Make spot treatments in cracks and crevices on bed frame, headboard and footboard. Apply to tufts, seams and edges of mattresses and box springs only. Do not apply to entire surface of mattress or box springs. If the product scent is objectionable do not apply to the mattress, as it may take a few days to dissipate. Allow the spray to dry before using the mattress. For persistent infestations consult a pest control professional.
Q. Why does your formula have three botanical oils in the active ingredient? I have seen other botanical aerosols with just one plant oil listed.
A. Our research and testing has shown that various plant oils work better on certain groups of insects. We wanted our Maggie’s Farm Ant & Roach Killer to be effective on a wide variety of crawling insect, not just ants and roaches, so we utilize several plant oils as the active ingredient for that reason. Additionally, we have found the combination of certain plant oils in specific ratios provides a “synergistic effect” that enhances the overall efficacy of the product.
Q. What are polyglycerol oleate, butyle lactate and triethyl citrate listed in the inert ingredient section of the product label?
A. These ingredients are used as emulsifiers to help the oil and water in the formula to mix together well when the can is shaken to get an even, uniform mixture that is needed for product performance. Without these ingredients, the oil and water would remain separated (oil floats, water sinks), which compromises the effectiveness of the product. These ingredients are on the US EPA Minimum Risk Pesticide Program approved list of ingredients.
The Maggie’s Farm Ant & Roach Killer is classified by the US EPA as a minimum-risk pesticide (see link: www.epa.gov/minimum-risk-pesticides).
I took a risk...
After 3.5 years in my apartment, I turned on the kitchen light one evening and found my biggest nightmare—a roach. And where there is one, you know there are more. After a thorough cleaning, my first line of defense was boric tablets but they weren't working fast enough for me (not only are roaches gross, but I have a fear of them). I found Maggie's Farm Ant and Roach, and liked that it was natural. I have a Mastiff who must clean every crevice, so I needed something that was safe in case he decided to clean up. However, not a single review that I found, mentioned roaches. Tons of reviews on ants though. I took a gamble and purchased this product, and I am so glad that I did. It essentially kills the roaches on contact (I maybe am a little overzealous with my spraying but I make sure they're almost swimming). More so, I've found dead roaches hours later, too, that I assume passed through my spray barrier only to not quite make it to safety. Thank you, Maggie's Farm, for this safer alternative to Raid. I was pleasantly surprised at it's effectiveness.
I absolutely loved it and that it's safe for the family!
This is the only organic product I have come across that kills the ants and they do not return. It’s the best ant product out there. Safe for everyone except the
